We are honored to partner with you and your family. At The Brighthouse Academy, we specialize in providing a highly individualized, data-driven educational experience designed to support students who require intensive behavioral, social, and emotional support.
Grounded in the evidence-based practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our program is designed to complement public school efforts and provide a structured, supportive environment where students can thrive. Our primary goals are to reduce maladaptive behaviors, teach functional replacement skills, and support long-term success through positive behavior change and skill development.
Students will be provided with educational support and academics developed at their learning level. Additionally, each student at The Brighthouse Academy receives individualized instruction and support based on a customized skill acquisition plan. These plans focus on teaching essential skills such as effective communication, appropriate social interactions, emotional self-regulation, and enhanced executive functioning. Instruction is provided on a 1:1 basis by our team of highly trained and certified professionals, in a year-round learning environment tailored to meet each student’s needs.
We place a strong emphasis on progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making. Mastery criteria are established for each student’s targeted goals and objectives, and data is continuously collected and reviewed to inform instruction and interventions. Regular updates will be shared with your child’s home school and IEP team to ensure collaboration and alignment across all educational settings. As your child progresses, we are committed to supporting their reintegration into the least restrictive educational environment.
The Brighthouse Academy school calendar, for the current school year, 2025/2026, is included with this welcome letter. Please note that Wednesdays are an early dismissal day for all students at 1:00 p.m. In addition, you will find contact information for The Brighthouse Academy staff listed below.
We are excited to work together to help your child reach their full potential. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to a productive and rewarding partnership with you and your family.
